Doppelkopf: Stakes and Winnings
There are a number of different Doppelkopf variants: Variable Stake, 4 Round Fixed Stake and Duel 4 Round Fixed Stake. For Variable Stake games, the stake per game and a limit are chosen for each round. For 4 Round Fixed Stake games, the stake remains the same for all four rounds and no limit can be chosen. The same applies for Duel games, but two human players take on two computer opponents.
If the players in the game are divided equally into two teams of two, the calculation is as follows:
If the players are not divided equally (3 against 1) and play with a variable stake, the calculation for each round is as follows:
1. Firstly the monetary value of the game is calculated (basic stake * game value), e.g. basic stake of EUR 1 * 4 (a game of “Re” is bid and won with a “No 90” declaration) = EUR 4.
2. The operating fee per player is then deducted from the monetary value of the game. In our example, and according to the table, this would be 12.5 % of 2 = EUR 0.50.
3. Lastly this amount is multiplied by the number of players in the game: 0.50 * 4 = EUR 2.
In this case, the winner of the game receives EUR 10 (EUR 12 – EUR 2). If three players win against a single player, the winning amount is divided equally between the three victors.
The calculation of this example could vary if a limit is set in the game settings before the game begins. For fixed stake games the sake is not multiplied by the game value.
